What’s playing at The Venue in Aurora?

Striving to be a place where live music matters most to the musicians, fans and the community, The Venue is the stage for the Fox Valley Music Foundation whose mission is the preservation, protection and presentation of music in the Fox Valley area. “On any given night at The Venue, you might hear blues, jazz, rock, folk, funk, Americana, zydeco, big band music, or something you didn’t even know you liked yet,” says Charlie Mayton, general manager of The Venue. “You might see a nationally touring artist one night and a 15-year-old musician stepping onto a professional stage for the first time the next.” www.themusicvenue.org Nov. 3: Pete Hellman Big Band with Youth Ensemble of DuPage Nov. 6: First Fridays with Jason Benefield (FREE Open House) Nov. 10: Pete Ellman Big Band with Downers Grove South High School (2 bands) Nov. 14: This is Live (a fundraiser for The Fox Valley Music Foundation) Nov. 17: Pete Ellman Big Band with Lisle High School (2 bands) Nov. 19: Roots Thirds with Shaw
