IVCC board candidates can file petitions starting Nov. 16

Residents interested in running for the Illinois Valley Community College Board of Trustees can begin filing nomination petitions Monday Nov. 16, for the April 6, 2027, election.Petitions will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, through Friday, Nov. 20, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, in the President’s Office, Room C-301, on the Oglesby campus, according to a news release from the college.If more candidates file than there are openings, a lottery to determine ballot placement will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, in the Board Room, C-307. Objections to nominating petitions for the District 513 consolidated election, covering La Salle, Bureau, Putnam, Marshall, Grundy, Livingston, Lee and DeKalb counties, must be filed by Dec. 2.Election information is available at www.ivcc.edu/election2027 or from Local Election Official Sandy Beard at [email protected].
