DOWNTOWN — After a month-long search, Chicago has found the Christmas tree that will brighten Downtown through the holiday season. This year’s tree — the city’s 113th Christmas tree — is a nearly 50-foot Norway spruce donated by the Clark family from suburban Campton Hills, west of St. Charles. Today, it will be cut, hoisted by crane and prepared for its journey to Chicago. The tree will find its home for the season in Millennium Park, where it will be decorated and lit at the city’s annual tree-lighting ceremony 6 p.m. Nov. 20. Sitting near Michigan Avenue and Washington Street, the spruce will remain illuminated and on display through Jan. 10. Find more details about the tree lighting ceremony here. Previously, Chicago has had a 68-foot spruce from suburban Glenview in 2025, a 53-foot spruce from Logan Square in 2024 and a 45-foot spruce from Darien in 2023.
